Safend, a provider of endpoint data protection products, has revealed that Workshare, a technology provider for the legal industry, will be integrating Safend Protector into its desktop and server security products in order to integrate other components of the Safend Data Protection suite to further the partnership.
The companies claimed that through this strategic relationship, Workshare customers in the legal industry are expected to benefit from comprehensive device and wireless port control, and hard disk and removable media encryption capabilities.
Alan Fraser, CEO of Workshare, said: “In the highly regulated legal industry, document control and data security is of the utmost importance. By combining the power of Workshare’s desktop and server products with Safend’s device and removable media encryption technologies, our customers can rest assured that all of their confidential and proprietary data is secure.”
The companies said that using the integrated offerings, organisations will have access to comprehensive data protection technology. The combined offering will also enable users to address the security issues of document control and data protection.
Workshare reportedly delivers a combination of desktop and server products that allows knowledge workers to create and collaborate on documents and share information with users within and outside an organisation. With Workshare, organisations can deliver document comparison and review, and ensure the necessary compliance and risk management processes are enforced in order to protect sensitive information, said the company.
The full Safend Data Protection Suite features Safend Auditor, Safend Protector, Safend Encryptor and Safend Reporter, designed to offer enterprise data protection by combining data leakage technology with hard disk encryption, removable media encryption, and data analysis and reporting to ensure compliance with regulatory standards such as HIPAA, SOX, BASEL and PCI.
Management features include file-shadowing, load balancing and management by domain.
