GOTrust, i-Sprint collaborate to deliver security through mobile phone or PDA

To enable single device to work securely with multiple delivery channels

By CBR Staff Writer

GOTrust Technology and i-Sprint Innovations have announced that they will demonstrate ‘One-Device-Security Solution.’ The companies have entered into a strategic alliance partnership where GO-Trust will provide the client-side technology and i-Sprint will provide the back-office technology and integration.

The companies said that One-Device-Security Solution is a universal offering for mobile PKI, one time passwords, VPN, secure SMS and out-of-band requirements, overcoming many security vulnerabilities such as man-in-the-middle-attacks and real-time phishing.

The company claim that, by using new offering, a single device can work securely with multiple delivery channels such as e-Commerce, m-Commerce, ATM/Kiosks and over-the-counter transactions.

GOTrust provides security offerings built into microSD modules that can be inserted in mobile phones, smart phones or PDAs. The microSD client side applications for ‘One-Device-Security Solution’ developed by the company include mobile OTP, mobile VPN and PKI enabled secure SMS. It is compatible with devices that support SD and microSD. It does not require any additional drivers and can include up to 8GB of user available flash memory.

According to the companies, i-Sprint will provide the device-agnostic ‘AccessMatrix’ Universal Authentication Server for back-office user validation and transaction authorisation, which provides a granular administration delegation model, token management features and fine-grained authorisation framework.

Albert Ching, CEO of i-Sprint, said: “Our collaboration not only accelerates our product integration, it also delivers a solid platform for us to provide more innovative security solutions in our product pipeline to address the explosive growth of the smart mobile phone as the device of choice for the mobile generation.”
