Super Micro Computer has introduced its new server/storage systems optimised for SOHO environments.
Featuring the company’s new toolless mini-tower chassis, the SuperServer 5035L-iB facilitates easy installation while delivering superior energy-efficient operation, claims Super Micro Computer.
In addition to its 300-watt 80-Plus Bronze power supply, the system’s new mini-tower chassis (SC731i-300B) also includes a host of user-friendly design features for easy installation, the company said. These features include a toolless side panel, toolless drive bays, 90-degree pivoting hard disk drive cage, and stamped motherboard support. Besides four 3.5-inch internal drive bays, the system also supports two external 5.25-inch bays, four I/O expansion slots, a toolless rear 9cm pulse-width modulated fan for optimized cooling and Kensington lock security to safeguard the system, according to Super Micro Computer.
Charles Liang, CEO and president of Super Micro Computer, said: For the first time, customers have the opportunity to choose a truly optimized small office, home office (SOHO) server and storage solution that features Super Micro’s enterprise-level quality and technology at a highly affordable price point. For example, the SuperServer 5035L’s high-efficiency 300-watt power supply achieves levels of energy efficiency previously available only in enterprise server installations.
