LogiXML introduces Mobile BI technology

LogiXML, a provider of Web-based business intelligence (BI) software, has introduced Logi Mobile, a new enhancement to Logi Info — the company’s BI platform.

The BI platform enables organisations to design mobile BI applications and deploy them across an array of devices, eliminating the need for specialised development skills and investment in maintaining a diverse set of native mobile applications.

In addition, by leveraging HTML 5, Logi Mobile allows IT to support an array of devices and delivers compelling mobile features: geo-location, push-button emails and texts, screen size and orientation detection, on-demand scrolling and caching — to mobile devices, including iPad, iPhone, Android and Blackberry.

White papers from our partners

LogiXML CEO Brett Jackson said most BI companies have built proprietary, device-specific mobile BI products and this is certainly one approach.

"However, we believe that the mobile device market will become more heterogeneous and that our customers prefer a different approach. We are giving them the ability to continue to develop their BI applications within Logi Info, which is familiar to them, and extend their applications to any mobile device without the headache of deploying, managing and supporting specialised, device-specific products," Jackson said.
