Active Storage has released a new version of Active Viewer iPhone app that allows customers to monitor their Active Storage RAID systems worldwide, directly from their iPhone.
According to Active Storage, the Active Viewer 1.1 features improved connectivity; revised application launch sequence; information screen with integrated contact information; and support for contact options that are accessed directly from within component warning screens.
The company said that the new iPhone app allows users to monitor power, fans, fibre channel connectivity and system temperatures; receive detailed system information such as uptime, rack location and network address; drill down to individual RAID controller info; look up RAID array information; and reveal drive information such as number of individual drives and health.
Alex Grossman, CEO of Active Storage, said: “Being able to monitor critical storage systems directly from an iPhone has been a huge hit with our customers. Having an iPhone app as part of our suite of tools is a logical extension of our commitment to providing the most innovative, user-friendly RAID storage solutions.
