Apple TV is a digital media player developed by Apple which streams digital data from a number of sources to a television.
The small network appliance and entertainment device needs to be connected to a HD or enhanced-definition television via an HDMI cable. Controlled by either the Apple Remote control or through the iTunes Remote app on devices such as the iPhone, the device uses wifi to receive digital content from the iTunes app using AirPlay or the iTunes Store. This content is then streamed to the TV.
