What is Apple?

Apple products have transformed several electronics categories, including portable music players and smartphones.

Apple is a consumer electronics giant which offers products such as the iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch.

The company was founded in 1976 by Steve Wozniak and Steve Jobs. The company’s initial success was built on its line of Macintosh computers.

The company faced commercial difficulties in the 1990s before rebounding in the early 2000s with several major products.

Apple had what was at the time the most profitable quarter in corporate history in 2015.
