XTRA HAS NEW FAMILY OF PC PRODUCTS DESIGNED TO MEET REQUIREMENTS OF US NASCIM 5100A AND MIL-STD 461

Not to be outdone when it comes to being Tempest-toss’d, Alcatel’s Xtra Business Systems has a new family of personal computer products designed to meet the requirements of US NASCIM 5100A and MIL-STD 461: through an agreement with Rugged Digital Systems Inc, Xtra will offer the Tempest and Tempest/ruggedised line through government systems integrators in the US and Alcatel NV subsidiaries overseas; the line-up includes the ITT Xtra/TX based on the 8088; the ITT Xtra/TXP based on the 80286 and an 8-bit bus; and the ITT Xtra/286 TX, an 80286 system with a 16-bit bus.
