WANG LABORATORIES TAKES VANTAGE FOR NT-BASED SOFTWARE

By CBR Staff Writer

Wang Laboratories Inc is to acquire privately-held document management company Vantage Technologies Inc, a 45-person outfit based in Chantilly, Virginia, and will use its Windows NT-based software to build a standards-based document architecture to help unify its various workflow management software offerings, to integrate them with third-party document repositories, and to build the document management components of new collaborative work management products due for launch next year. Wang, which gave no financial terms, said the deal, expected to be completed by September 1, would complement its recent acquisitions of NT-based storage, workflow and imaging software from Avail Systems Corp and Sigma Imaging Systems Inc (CI No 2,834).
