In the wake of the sudden demise of Intercompany Communications Technology (CI No 875), Toronto-based All Computers and The Software Link, Atlanta, Georgia have been forced to look for new UK distributors. The Software Link’s PC-MOS/386 multi-tasking MS-DOS-cloned operating system will now be available from three different distributors: the Surrey-based firm PC Compatible Ltd; Micro Partners Ltd, Park Royal Business Centre, London; and Dacoll Ltd, Bathgate, West Lothian. The Software Link currently negotiating a fourth UK outlet – claims that all three companies were existing Intercompany Communications customers, and able to offer large support staffs and dealer bases. All Computers has meanwhile struck a deal with International Data Security, the trading name of International Product Exchange, Gower Street, London, a wholly owned subsidiary of the Sydney based International Data Security parent. The one year-old company, which has taken on two ex-ICCT employees, will now act as sole UK distributor for All Computers’ two memory cards, Allcard and Chargecard which sell on the UK market at UKP399 and UKP695 respectively.
