Sutton, Surrey-based Securicor 3Net Ltd has announced a router-based security system, Secure IQ. The product supports hardware encryption; Peer-to-Peer Protocol access control procedures, PAP, CHAP and firewall filtering; the Tacacs and Radius server-based access management systems; the Kerberos secret-key authentication system and Callback. Encryption is via a dedicated 32-bit board that fits into its basic and Primary Rate ISDN routers, providing DES encryption in hardware without affecting router performance, it said. Securicor 3Net is also planning to launch Remote IQ, a line of low-cost ISDN products personal computers, this month. Remote IQ products will ship in December from ú500. Secure IQ will ship in January for ú1,600.
