PEROT SYSTEMS CORP “LOOKS AS IF IT WILL PUT ITSELF UP FOR SALE”

By CBR Staff Writer

Seems that the bright lights of the television studios and marching to the political beat have got to Ross Perot and that he is no longer overwhelmed by computers: the Wall Street Journal hears that his second generation computer services creation, Perot Systems Corp, is up for sale. The paper hears high-level executives have been pulled off projects to work on a possible sale of the company, and that chairman Mort Meyerson has been meeting industry leaders to explore the future of the firm. Perot Systems is said to be profitable on turnover of about $300m. The paper suggests Canadian SHL Systemhouse Ltd is a logical suitor.
