Microsoft and Satyam ally to tackle Greater China

Microsoft Corp and IT service provider Satyam Computer Services have joined forces in an effort to penetrate the Greater China market with a five-year plan covering enterprise business and technology solutions.

By CBR Staff Writer

Under the terms of a memorandum of understanding, the two companies will jointly develop enterprise solutions for the Greater China region, based on products from Microsoft plus solutions and services from Satyam.

The plan is to establish a Satyam Microsoft Adaptive Solution Center in the region to showcase Satyam’s enterprise architecture and applications integration and Microsoft’s Dynamics applications, business intelligence, infrastructure solutions, and portal technology. The center will be staffed by Satyam employees.

The agreement is broad-reaching and covers joint activity in the manufacturing, telecom, automotive, banking, financial services, healthcare, insurance, retail, consumer goods, travel, logistics, and retail vertical market segments.
