Scottsdale City Cable 11 has selected NVerzion to provide a new digital automation package in its move from tape playback to a fully digital channel in the recent overhaul of the station’s 11-year-old system.
The new digital system incorporated an Omneon MediaDeck, a Sierra router and the NCONTROLite automation software package from NVerzion.
NVerzion said that the software architecture of NCONTROLite is designed to accept specific customer modifications and provide Scottsdale City Cable with the ability to expand support to a virtually limitless number of devices as well as increasing channel control, if need be in the future.
Tim Delaney, station engineer for Scottsdale City Cable 11, said: NVerzion technicians gave us a simple initial connection diagram that allowed us to have the system operational on our bench within hours of its delivery to us. Our overall on air quality has improved dramatically with our new system. We can now run show and city program promotions again with our new server and we can now effortlessly join shows in progress.
Reed Haslam, director of sales for NVerzion, said: We designed the automation package to provide Scottsdale City Cable 11 with all the functional aspects that were required specifically to its operations.
