CORRECTION. AMDAHL’S 6100 DOES NOT HANDLE TAPE DRIVES OR SOLID STATE STORE

By CBR Staff Writer

Correction: Amdahl Corp says its new 6100 controller does not handle tape drives or solid state store – yet; that it prefers the 5890 to be called a two-way multi-processor, not a dual; and that it reckons that the uniprocessor performance of the 5990 is 35 MIPS, and not the 33 to 34 we suggested (CI No 921).
