COMPUTER SCIENCES HAS EXTENSION TO ITS SUPPORT OF INTERNATIONAL ULTRAVIOLET EXPLORER PROGRAMME

Computer Sciences Corp, El Segundo, California has $12.3m five-year further extension to its support of the International Ultraviolet Explorer programme at the US National Aeronautics and Space Administration’s Goddard Space Flight Center in Silver Spring, Maryland: the Explorer programme involves a satellite that sports a telescope to observe celestial objects by ultraviolet light, and is currently being used for scientific observations of the supernova phenomenon.
