CD SOFTWARE HOLDINGS SHIPS WIRELESS VERSION OF ITS QUICKMAIL SYSTEM FOR MAC

San Francisco-based CD Software Holdings Inc is shipping a new wireless version of its QuickMail electronic mail system for Apple Computer Inc Macintosh computers, which operates over RAM Mobile Data Inc’s networks. The system is designed for use with Intel Corp’s AT-compatible Wireless Modem, and is to be sold bundled with the modem or as a software-only package. The company has also added message filtering in order to track the time and cost of receiving messages. The software-only package is to have a US list price of $300, while the software plus modem bundle is to cost $1,100.
