Accel Co Ltd of Tokyo has formed Accel Computer Corp in Irvine, California to market imaging peripherals for Macintosh and IBM personal computers: the new company plans intelligent hand-held scanners and high-capacity optical disks for graphics input for desktop publishing and word processing, computer-aided design and engineering, and facsimile imaging; a UK office to introduce the line to Europe is also in the plan.
