Kognitio has released a new line of data warehouse appliances, which are designed to meet the emerging needs of the Big Data applications.
The company’s WX2 Appliance featuring WX2 in-memory analytic database at its core are offered in four configurations, ranging from 16 servers operating in parallel up to 64, with the ability to offer 75 terabytes of storage and pin up to 16 terabytes of information in memory.
Kognitio claimed that its WX2 Appliance is an ideal offering for companies deploying OLAP, business intelligence, data warehousing, analytics, mixed workloads and high concurrency usage.
Kognitio chief executive officer Roger Llewellyn said the WX2 Appliance runs at speeds of 10X faster and is more scalable and flexible when compared to the new line of appliances that use rarified and specialised hardware.
"Only our new line of WX2 Appliances couple speed with lower cost of purchase and operation, and give customers the solutions needed to analyse Big Data at a price and performance that fits," Llewellyn said.
