Only about 52% of firms globally deploy solutions that allow centralised management of their IT infrastructure, according to a new report.
The survey conducted by Kaspersky Lab in collaboration with research agency B2B International revealed that businesses of all sizes and mainly smaller organisations find difficult to install and manage workstation and mobile device protection, which could be supported by deploying centralised management tools.
Currently, corporate products include a several protection technologies to protect specific nodes in a firm’s IT infrastructure, including work stations and mobile devices, which also need to be configured to comply with company’s established security policies, while meeting business requirements.
Further, B2B International revealed that only half of companies surveyed globally deploy such tools, while 30% of firms have fully implemented client management tools, while 29% have implemented partially.
The research firm pressed that deployment of centralised management console would boost the infrastructure’s security levels, while reducing a firm’s IT workload by eliminating the need to configure protection and to examine the status of every individual workstation.
