What is WSDL?

WSDL is an important part of the UDDI register.

Web Services Description Language (WSDL) is the standard format for describing a web service.

It is an XML format used to describe network services as a set of endpoints. The definitions WSDL definitions describe how to access a web service and what operations it will perform.

Businesses can use WSDL to list themselves and their services on the internet. The client connecting to the web service can read the file to determine what operations are available.
