Volta is a data centre in central London.

The data centre, located in Great Sutton Street, is built to Tier III standards and spans 91,000 sq ft.

The Volta data centre claims to offer unparalleled resilience in central London, benefiting from two separate 33kV supplies, with ultra-fast connectivity linking customers to a variety of world-class carriers, cloud providers, networks and major Internet exchanges.

The company behind Volta is a a joint venture between funds managed by Apollo Global Real Estate and Glebe London, LLP.

 

What is Volta’s ‘Power by the Hour’ offering?
The London data centre offers a range of services, from colocation to connectivity.

Volta also offers a pay-as-you-go option, dubbed Power by the Hour. Billed as the UK’s first ever ‘Power by the Hour’ tariff, this new power consumption-based model is targeted at start-ups, small businesses and larger organisations requiring project-based resources. It provides an affordable, zero- commitment route for companies stepping into a Cloud infrastructure or outsourcing to a colocation site for the first time.

Volta also offers a ‘Remote Hands’ service, giving customers an on-site team of skilled engineers. The service (available at Volta’s London data centre) offers problem resolution, update installs and custom installations 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year.
