Symantec is a US provider of security products and services for computers and businesses.

Led by CEO Michael Brown, the company is worth $15.19 billion and produces annual revenue of $3.6 billion.

In November it was announced that Symantec would acquire LifeLock in a deal which could create the world’s largest consumer cyber security company with over $2.3bn in annual sales. The deal is expected to be closed during the first quarter of 2017.

What can Symantec offer you?

Symantec primarily focuses on the endpoint security market, which sits on devices and monitors activity on them, protecting that specific device.

The company also provides support services, with a real-time threat monitoring service that is updated with the newest exposed vulnerabilities.

Symantec owns the popular consumer subscription security product Norton, due to its acquisition of the Peter Norton Computing company in 1990.

It has 11,000 employees.
