Supply chain management (SCM) is the oversight of materials, information, and finances as they move through the supply chain.

The supply chain is made up of the supplier, manufacturer, wholesaler, retailer and consumer.

The management of this chain involved the coordination and integration of these flows both within and among companies.

Software is used to manage with tools or modules in order to execute transactions, manage supplier relationships, and controlling associated business processes.
