News is increasingly becoming streamed

By Vinod

Streaming or live streaming is content flowing over a network. It is media that is sent by a provider.

Google bought a streaming video company Anvato moving it further into the business of content distribution. Netflix, Hulu, Showtime are US based leaders in movie and TV content.

It is becoming an increasingly popular method of accessing data. In recent events the aftermath of conflicts, shootings and rallies have been live streamed onto platforms such as Facebook.

For entertainment there are services such which offer film and sport streaming. Sport is a huge streaming market and set to boom.

Music streaming services are viewed as a rival and potential saviour of the music business. One of the biggest shockwaves in this sector was when Taylor Swift pulled your music from Spotify.

Recently Apple was said to be making a bid for Tidal, the music streaming service owned by Jay Z, the renowned rapper, music producer and husband of singer Beyonce.
