Sprint is a US telecommunications company that provides wireless and Internet services.

As of 2017, Sprint is the fourth largest mobile network operator in the US.

Headquartered in Overland Park, Kansas, the company provides wireless voice, messaging and broadband services.

Sprint sits alongside Verizon, AT&T and T-Mobile, as one of the four major mobile operators in the US.

Where did the name ‘Sprint’ come from?

Sprint’s earliest origins are with the Brown Telephone Company, first founded in 1899 to connect the rural area around Abilene, Kansas. The brand Sprint comes from 1983 when SPC and GTE merged under the name “GTE Sprint”.
