What is Office?

Another member of the Microsoft family explained.

By Joao Lima

Office, or in its full form, Microsoft Office, is one of Microsoft’s main products that offers programs such as Word, Excel and more.

This is an office suite, which means that the product is a family of different software services that help people do their work.

It was launched in November 1990, is available in 102 languages and is written in C++.

Unsurprisingly, it is mostly compatible with Microsoft’s Windows OS, however, versions of the software are available for Apple products and others.

You can find an in-depth look at what Office offers on the next page.

The main application in Office is Microsoft Word, a word processor software that allows consumers and businesses to write text and format it from letters’ colours to font styles.

In addition, Microsoft has released services like Excel, one of the most famous spreadsheet software in the world and Microsoft Power Point used for the creation of presentations.

The Office package also includes other products like Outlook, OneNote, Entourage, Sway, Publisher, Skype, Project, Visio, SharePoint Designer, Lens, Remote, etc.
