What is MoCA?

MoCA is used for in-house network connections.

Multimedia over Coax Alliance (MoCA) is an industry which develops technology for use at home, providing a connection is already in place. It provides an in-home backbone to guarantee wireless connectivity.

Connection through MoCA is carried out via coaxial cable transmissions. This type of cable has an inner conductor with a surrounding insular layer.

MoCA ensures that an entire house is provided with a suitable connection for distribution of video and other high definition multimedia content.
