mAh, or in its longer form milli Amp hour, refers to the measurement of a battery’s energy storage capacity.
Essentially, this means that milli Amp hour is the amount of battery a battery has in it.
One mAh corresponds to one-thousandth of an ampere-hour.
For example, Samsung’s Galaxy A9 Pro has a 5000 mAh battery. That means the electric current in that device is 5000, or five amperes.
In contrast, a Duracell AA battery has 2500 mAh, or 2.5 ampares.
milli Amp hours have become a common site to users when looking for new gadgets.
However, it is not correct to assume that a device with a larger amount of mAh will last longer than another device with less, as this will depend on many other things, such as processor power, usage etc.
If however, a user is just comparing a mobile phone with similar specs (especially if from the same brand), generally speaking, the higher the mAh, the longer the device will last.
