What is Kaspersky Lab?

Kaspersky Lab provides cyber security to both consumer and enterprise.

Kaspersky Lab is a Russia-based cyber security company founded in 1997 and led by CEO Eugene Kaspersky.

The company offers cyber security products and services including firewalls and anti virus software. This includes desktop and mobile software, some of which is paid and some of which is free to download. Kaspersky offers products to both consumers and enterprises.

 

Which worm did Kaspersky discover in 2010?

Kaspersky Lab also conducts investigations and research into cyber security threats. One of Kaspersky’s most notable investigations was into the Stuxnet worm in 2010, a major cyber attack on Iranian infrastructure widely believed to have been carried out by the US and Israel.

Kaspersky also discovered the sophisticated malware Flame, which is designed to carry out cyber espionage. The malware was found by Kaspersky Lab’s experts during an investigation that was prompted by the International Telecommunication Union.

Russia-born Eugene Kaspersky is a well-regarded cyber security expert who regularly appears on industry panels and in discussion forums.
