What is hashtagging?

Creating links to topics and people that are #trending.

By Vinod

Hashtagging is a popular way of creating links to current topics and trends on social media platforms such as Twitter and Facebook.

Often used at the end of a message, hashtagging is performed by inserting the hashtag key (#) into a post that a user is sharing with others.

The hashtag key will then activate links to popular topics capturing the most attention and circulation at the time.
