Gumtree is a British online classified advertising site.

The online classified ad site lets members of the public sell and buy various products.

Classified advertisements are either free or paid for, depending on the product category and the geographical market.

The site was launched in March 2000 by Michael Pennington and Simon Crookall as a local London classified advertising site, looking to connect Australians, New Zealanders and South Africans who need help with accommodation on arrival in London.
