What is GPU?

GPU, which stands for graphics processing unit or sometimes referred to as visual processing unit (VPU), is an electronic circuit.

This electronic circuit’s main function is to speed up image rendering on a computing platform.

This is done through rapid mathematical calculations.

Computing platforms that use GPUs include ones like embedded systems, mobile phones, personal computers, workstations, and game consoles.
