What has an Urchin got to do with Google Analytics?

Google gives users a dashboard-type data about how website pages are performing. In-depth reports can also ascertain where the traffic originated from, how long visitors spent on a page and the bounce rate out of a website. This is in addition to specific landing pages, trackbacks and in-page analytics, among other features.

The service was developed following Google’s acquisition of Urchin Software Corp in 2005.
