What is Global Switch?

Carrier neutral and with 300,000 square metres of data centre space.

Global Switch is a builder of data centre facilities that is owned by Reuben brothers.

The company is said to own and operate ten data centres centrally located in Tier 1 cities across Europe and Asia-Pacific. These offer a total 300,000 square metres.

Global Switch’s main strategic locations are based in Amsterdam, Frankfurt, Hong Kong, London, Madrid, Paris, Singapore and Sydney.

It offers a carrier-neutral status that enables customers to connect directly into their chosen networks. It is identified as the largest wholesale carrier-neutral data centre provider in the Europe and Asia-Pacific region.

Who are Reuben brothers?

Owners of the business, Reuben brothers, recently revealed their plan to sell part of their data centre business to Asian investors in a deal expected to be worth over £3 bn.

The high profile brothers are leaders in private equity, real estate investment and development and venture capital. Investments include data centres, aerodromes, technology and media.

The company’s most recent revenue is £258.4 million.
