Flickr is a photo sharing and hosting service that supports a community of people that can share and explore each other’s photos.

Users can share and host hundreds of pictures for free on the site that was created by Ludicorp in 2004 and acquired by Yahoo in 2005.

The service is widely used by photo researchers and bloggers to host images that they embed in blogs and social media.

How many people use Flickr?

It is estimated that Flickr has over 87 million registered members and more than 3.5 million new images uploaded daily, in 2011 the site said that it was hosting more than 6 billion images.

The free to use site can be accessed without the need to register, but in order to upload images a user must create a registered account.

Registering an account also allows a user to create a profile page that contains photos and videos that the user has uploaded, it also gives them the ability to add another Flickr user as a contact.
