FileZilla is free software which lets you transfer files over the internet.

Consisting of FileZilla Client and FileZilla Server, FileZilla is defined as a free software, cross-platform FTP application.

Available for Windows, Linux and MacOS, FileZilla allows users to transfer files over the Internet.

The software started life as a computer science class project by Tim Kosse and two classmates. They decided to make the software open-source as they believed that no one would buy it if they made FileZilla commercial.

How can a wizard help with FileZilla?

FileZilla offers a number of features in addition to the basic transfer of files. Among other features such as IPv6 support, filename filters, configurable transfer speed limits and remote file editing, FileZilla also boasts a directory comparison for comparing local files and server files in the same directory. When the file doesn’t have the same information it will highlight that file in colour.

For those needing help with FileZilla, a network configuration wizard can help to configure confusing network settings in form of step-by-step wizard.

FileZilla is available in 47 languages worldwide.
