What is Digital Realty

The company has two data centre sites in the UK.

Digital Realty is a US data centre provider.

The data centre company offers colocation, wholesale, interconnection and cloud services to both domestic and international companies.

The company serves customers across a wide range of industries, from IT and internet companies, to manufacturing and financial services. Customers include Rackspace, AT&T, Zayo and CenturyLink.

The company currently boasts 156 data centres across 11 countries and five continents.


Where is Digital Realty’s UK data centres?

The company’s London location, which is a major hub for big data, is located in Redhill, just outside London.

The two-story building boasts 96,000 sq ft and has a utility power capacity of 14 MVA. The site has been fully redeveloped as a Green data centre, focused on efficient energy use to reduce customer costs.

The company also has a site in Manchester, UK, which is a modern 3,532 rentable sq. m. data centre, built in 2001.

Digital Realty is a member of The Green Grid, having helped pioneer concepts of energy efficiency and energy conserving data centre design.

Founded in 2001, the company has approximately 950 employees.
