What is digital?

From C-execs to consumers, everyone talks about digital, but what exactly is it?

Digital has become a synonym of technology. No company, customer, partner or consumer is indifferent to the idea of digital anymore.

Digital technology includes any sort of devices or tools that produce, store or analyse data. This includes mobile devices, cloud, applications, social networks, and so on.

It is based on two processes, positive and non-positive, written in binary, the language computers seek, with 1s being positive and 0s being non-positive.

One of the biggest trends is the expansion of digital itself. Technology is reaching billions of people worldwide with still many billions yet to experience digital. Market opportunities are huge here.

Mobile is one of those areas where growth has been the heaviest together with mobile wallets.

The IoT is also fostering the speed adoption of digital technologies, be it in retail, healthcare, automotive, manufacturing or education.
