What is Chrome?

What's helped make Chrome so popular?

By Joao Lima

Built by Google and launched in 2008, Chrome is currently one of the most widely used internet browsers.

The browser was originally launched in September 2008, and functions on the majority of today’s operating systems including Android, iOS, Linux, OS X and Windows.

The browser is available in 47 languages and it is written in C++, JavaScript, Python and Assembly language.

Since its initial launch, there have been 51 releases of the browser, with the latest one having been launched in June 2016.

What are Chrome’s features?

One of the main advantages of Google Chrome is the fact that is easy to use and intuitive.

Searching the internet with Chrome is also easier and it is directly linked with Google. Bookmarks, historical data and auto-filling are also other features that make Chrome appealing.

Automatic translations, incognito mode and a speedy installation process, also make Chrome one of the strongest browsers in the market today.
