What is B2B?

Here’s the business world explained.

By Joao Lima

B2B (read as B to B) stands for business-to-business and refers to transactions and interactions between two or more businesses, rather than a business transaction with a consumer as in B2C.

When it comes to the internet, B2B is also referred to as e-biz. This stands exactly for the same thing as B2B, however, all transactions are done over the internet.

B2B transactions correspond to the sale and acquisition of information, products and/or services.

Click next to read more on the two main types of B2B companies.

B2B is a concept that is used in every industry, from marketing to manufacturing as business transactions between businesses themselves are important to keep revenue flows running.

There are different types of B2B companies. These include for example, B2B product-based companies and B2B service-based companies.

Product-based companies, like the name suggests, focus more on transitioning products, while service-based ones transaction services.
