Analogue describes a system or signal which is able to describe changing values down to an infinitely small degree of variability.
Analogue signals differ from digital, which can only have one of two values, 0 or 1.
This means that digital systems can only have what are called as discrete values while analogue values can be continuous.
Signals are often switched between analogue and digital.
