What is Alibaba’s smart car called

It is moving beyond online commerce

Ali baba was founded in 1999. It is known as a the Chinese equivalent of Amazon.

On its debut on the New York Stock Exchange in 2014 it was valued at $186bn making it the largest float on record.

Today  its market capitalisation is $199.5bn.

It has a number of marketplaces under its main brand. Taobao Marketplace (www.taobao.com), China’s largest online shopping destination l Tmall.com (www.tmall.com), China’s largest third-party platform for brands and retailers l Juhuasuan (www.juhuasuan.com), China’s most popular online group buying marketplace l Alitrip (www.alitrip.com), a leading online travel booking platform l AliExpress (www.aliexpress.com), a global online marketplace for consumers to buy directly from China l Alibaba.com (www.alibaba.com), China’s largest global online wholesale platform for small businesses l 1688.com (www.1688.com), a leading online wholesale marketplace in China l AliCloud (www.aliyun.com), a provider of cloud computing services to businesses and entrepreneurs.

The firm recently launched its first smart car.
