In the electronics space, the circuit is responsible for linking two points through wires or traces so electrons can circulate around.
The wires or traces will conduct electric current between the two points. The two points can be a resistor, transistor, capacitor, inductor and a diode, all of which are part of the electronic components of a circuit.
There are three main types of circuits today: analogue, digital and hybrid.
Click next to find the differences.
In an analogue circuit the voltage being transported can vary continuously in time accordingly to the information needs of the system in which it is operating.
In digital electronic circuits, voltage signals look up to discrete values to represent logical and numerical values.
As for hybrid circuits, also known as mixed-digital circuits, they are a mixed of analogue and digital circuits. This is a widely used option today especially around radio and communications.
