What is 4G?

All you need to know about 4G before 5G takes over.

4G is basically the fourth generation of mobile networks, following on from 3G and 2G.

4G technologies have helped to revolutionise telecommunications thanks to being able to offer better connectivity, higher reliability rates and more data flow.

4G is also known as 4G LTE. LTE, Long-Term Evolution otherwise known as E-UTRAN (Evolved Universal Terrestrial Access Network), is a wireless communication standard first released by the 3rd Generation Partnership Project (3GPP) in 2008.
