Infrastructure software provider TIBCO Software has introduced the new version of its enterprise social platform, tibbr 4, which is scheduled to be available by late November 2012.
tibbr is a social enterprise platform that connects people, applications and data in one secure social platform to get work done faster.
The new release provides a social profile built on the tibbr Enterprise Social Graph, enabling employees to compile and present a social profile that includes individual profiles from HR systems and public social networks, as well as their deliverables at work.
Release 4 includes tibbr Insights leverages social analytics and claims to deliver a personal experience relevant to user that lets user discover affinities, connections, posts and work activities.
In addition to a set of advanced features, TIBCO also introduced tibbr Enterprise Social Graph API that will allow partners and app developers to build interactive social applications.
The API toolset allows developers to tap into the source of enterprise activity to build applications that leverage the social graph representing enterprise interactions across colleagues, partners, files, processes, events and activities.
Other new features of the tibbr 4 include a refreshed mobile experience that brings a faster interface for the user and subject timeline, which classifies and organises relevant conversations based on subjects, the company said.
