By CBR Staff Writer

Virtualisation and cloud infrastructure offerings firm Vmware in order to further expand the future of applications, has unveiled new iPad and updated Android applications from SlideRocket and Socialcast that will help businesses operate much more productive and connected enterprises.

Currently, enterprises are turning to the iPad and other mobile devices as invaluable business communication tools.

SlideRocket and Socialcast mobile applications address an essential need to equip the connected enterprise with user-centric communication and collaboration tools that enhance business outcomes.

Vmware vice president and general manager of cloud applications Brian Byun said modern business users are looking for more effective ways to connect to their applications and share information with their co-workers, partners and customers on mobile platforms.

"SlideRocket and Socialcast will enable this new, more connected way to work in the post-PC era," Byun said.

SlideRocket reinvents presentations to better fit the needs of enterprise with new graphic capabilities, analytics and viewing patterns, real-time feedback, social media integration, and mobile functionality that drive deeper levels of engagement, audience participation and retention.

The company said the new SlideRocket Player increases multiple capabilities including enabling users to create a new SlideRocket account directly from their iPad device, importing SlideRocket and PowerPoint presentations, delivering live presentations and downloading them to their iPad for offline playing later.
