T-Mobile USA has expanded its portfolio of android smartphones with the addition of Samsung Behold II, which will be available from November 18, 2009.
According to T-Mobile, the Samsung Behold II is a full touch-screen multimedia phone with web and data supported by Wi-Fi and T-Mobile’s 3G network. It comes with a 3.2-inch Amoled screen for crisper colours and wider viewing angles, which is paired with a 5 megapixel camera with autofocus, zoom, flash, five shooting modes and video capabilities. It includes a cube menu that provides access to multimedia features such as music, photos, videos, web, YouTube and Amazon MP3 for music downloads.
The company said that the new phone includes TouchWiz user interface for customisation through movable widgets and access to commonly used features and applications. It also offers three different home screens to organise multiple workspaces with favourite widgets and application shortcuts.
In addition, the new mobile comes with built-in Google mobile services, including Google Search, Maps, Gmail, Talk, and YouTube and other applications and games available for download from Android Market. It also supports personal e-mail and corporate e-mail with Exchange ActiveSync, and instant messaging, and text, picture and video messaging. It also includes assisted GPS, Bluetooth 2.1, visual voicemail, support for up to 16GB of external memory, and included 2GB microSD memory card.
