Oracle has launched a new version of its Cloud Application Foundation together with updated 12c Java technologies including Oracle Application Development Framework (ADF), Oracle JDeveloper and Oracle Enterprise Pack for Eclipse.
Integrating application server and in-memory data grid capabilities into a base for cloud computing, the new Cloud Application Foundation offers a platform that enables launching latest applications, shorten operations, ramp up time-to-market and reduce overall ownership cost, while obtaining more value from their existing application infrastructure.
Oracle has also launched support 12c Cloud Application Foundation product family including Oracle WebLogic Server 12.1.2 and Oracle Coherence 12.1.2.
Oracle application development tools vice president Chris Tonas said that Java development tools and ADF take the productivity of enterprise application developers to the next level.
"With the latest releases, Oracle is providing the most complete and integrated set of application development tools to provide developers with the best choices to support enterprise development with a fast and productive environment," Tonas said.
Oracle WebLogic Server 12.1.2 deploys dynamic clustering improve cloud elasticity and enable efficient resource management, while the Java Messaging Service (JMS) administration would boost operational efficiency.
Being Oracle’s in-memory data caching solution, the new Coherence 12.1.2 scales applications as per the requirements of mobile and cloud demands, while improving customer experience with Oracle Coherence Live Events.

In addition to modifications in middleware, Oracle’s updated developer tools support the Oracle 12c database, offer improved support for mobile applications and include tools that can operate with the Representational State Transfer (REST) protocol.
