Motorola has revealed plans to launch the smartphone Motorola FIRE in the UK by the end of September.
Motorola said the new mobile has a QWERTY keyboard, 2.8-inch touchscreen display, and a Moto Switch user interface, which allows users to switch to a friends-centric mode when required.
The new Android-powered smartphone runs on Android 2.3 (Gingerbread) with access to various applications in Android Market, the company said.
Other features include dual-band HSDPA/Quad-band EDGE, 3MP camera, Moto Switch user interface that allows users to shift into different modes and MicroSD card slot up to 32GB2.
The smartphone will have access to Google Maps with Navigation, Google Talk and Web browsing and offers Wi-Fi conforming with 802.11b, 802.11g or 802.11n standards.
The new offering has proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, accelerometer, E-compass, Assisted global positioning system (aGPS), LED notifications, 3.5mm audio jack and supports a 1420mAh battery which can offer eight hours of talk time.
